The remains of the architectural and portrait marble sculptures, as well as the fragments of marble slabs with inscriptions discovered in 2009 stand as confirmation of the significance of Stibera and of its citizens among the free cities in the Roman provinces. The urban city life came to a halt in the second half of the 3rd century AD.
